Kill or be killed. That’s the motto of the game called left 4 death 2. Survival is based on team play and not on how macho you can be. Where splitting from the team is to kiss death. Can you and your team survive the zombie apocalypse?

Killing zombies hasn’t felt this good for a long time and since it has been developed by none other than Valve gamers are bound to pay attention. Let’s not forget that this is also their first zombie game. Left 4 Dead 2 is a first person survival game that really puts your survival skills to test with its never-ending swarm of zombies. If you aren’t too big a fan of games that involve killing the undead you might just begin to perceive such games diferently after playing Left 4 Dead 2. You might also be wondering as to what actually makes this game diferent from any other zombie game? Well, it is not Dead Rising and it obviously won’t drive you nuts after hours of killing. What will keep you hooked to L4D would be its gameplay (slightly monotonous at times but nevertheless exciting), spine-chilling sounds and obviously the team play,

The game is based on a first person shooter set two weeks after the human race is wiped out by the relentless horde of zombies. Nobody remains in the city, except for four survivors. The game revolves around the survival of these four characters, Louis—an average voice worker, Francis—the tattooed biker, Bill—a tough Vietnam survivor and Zoey—a college student. You can either choose to be one of the four or just allow the game to randomly select a player for you. You and your team mates will be armed with a machine gun or shotgun, since you are allowed to carry only one heavy gun along with a pistol. You also get access to pipe-bombs and Molotov cocktails. Pipe bombs are modified grenades with a beeper attached to them. The beeper basically attracts the zombies since they are pretty sensitive to sound. These
grenades are extremely useful for taking out hordes of enemies especially when you find yourself cornered since the whole bunch run towards the grenade, they all get blown up. A molotov cocktail on the other hand, will set a large area ablaze which the infected zombies run through thus killing themselves in the process. Use it wisely though because you can carry just one grenade.

Unlike other games where one would need to locate the source of the infection or the reason behind it, Left 4 Dead 2 takes a diferent approach. Here, the idea is to survive the endless horde of flesh-eating monsters and the key to survival is to stick together because it is the only way out. The game has a total of four campaigns consisting of five stages each. While playing any of the four campaigns you will need to fight your way through to reach the safe house that is located towards the end of every level which eventually leads to a blood-spattered last stand before being rescued. If you ever find yourself cornered you will find the melee attack very useful since it pushes them back quite a distance, giving you a clear shot.

Apart from the deceased the game has five main mutants to deal with. The Hunter is capable of jumping on its victim from quite a distance and can pin down survivors. The Boomer is a large ugly sack of puke that needs to be dealt with from a distance. Once infected by its vomit, you will be a victim of every known zombie around till the vomit wears of. The Tank is another dreadful monster, a fast runner capable of throwing large objects at you, while the Smoker is able to detach you from your team with its extra long tongue and explodes in a cloud of green smoke when killed. Finally the Witch, inactive as she might be, is the most dangerous of the lot and is extremely sensitive to light. She basically just sits and cries to herself until you get too close, point a flash light or shoot her, at which point she attacks whoever disturbed her. The biggest plus point of the game is the AI. The AI dynamically sets the overall diiculty of the game. It is so well designed that it actually tests your team’s capability and accordingly decides on the number ofzombies to throw at you while increasing the overall pace of the game. For example, if you are able to survive the onslaught of zombies without a scratch you can be rest assured to expect a hundred more zombies come your way with more visits from the elite zombies. With every new start the number of undead, ammo as well as health packs is randomly placed, ensuring that the game never stays the same.

You will also find a Versus mode in Left 4 Dead, allowing a total of eight players with four taking the role of survivors and the others as infected bosses. Players who choose to play as zombies are randomly assigned their boss role and will be fighting along with your fellow zombies. Along with the boss role come a few restrictions in Versus mode. The re-spawn time is long and is somewhere close to twenty four seconds which can break the flow of play.The game is well detailed and everything from the music, to the shrieks of zombies is amazingly done. Even the background music will keep you at the edge of your seat throughout the game. The game might feel a bit short with just twenty stages but the randomization of everything is what makes the game tick.

1) Get in the folder REGFIX and run the file for your system [X86-X64].
2) Double click left4dead2.exe

1) Get in the folder REGFIX and run the file for your system [X86-X64].
2) Download Garena from www.garena.com and install it.
3) Get in the room of Left 4 Dead 2 and click on settings. (screen=> http://i48.tinypic.com/dpelpc.jpg)
4) Set your path of left4dead2.exe (default: C:/Program Files/Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2.exe) (screen=> http://i50.tinypic.com/2e57iv4.jpg)
5) At bootstrap parameters you don't need to set anything.
Note: Normally you would need +sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan 1 but they are autoexecuted when the game runs from the file autoexec.cfg

How to change your name:
1) Double click on file IniGen it will prompt you a black window asking your name. [In vista/7 you need to run IniGen.exe as administrator, right click Run as Administrator and it will start.]
2) Fill your name in and press Enter. You are done =)

When you close the game an error message appears, just ignore it, it doesn't affect your game.
