Borderlands PC 2009, Gearbox Software Game, Role Playing Shooter (RPS)

Gearbox Software may be new to whole RPG genre but they're vest of first person shooter with a number of high profile games under their belt. They've worked on certain Half Life expansions and are behind the critically acclaimed Brother in Arms series as well. Now their latest Foray. Borderlands attempts to fuse both RPG and FPG elements to create a new genre called Role Playing Shooter (RPS). Unlikely most RPG's on the block. Borderlands isn't particularly story driven. Sure you have a wafer-think narrative that talks about a hidden vault full of alien technology and wealth beyond your mindless dreams but a few boars into the game and you will forget all about that, instead concentrating solely on the game's incredible tooting system.

Loot is the high point in any RPG but Borderlands it's the star of the show. Through a randomly generated program, Gearbox Software has managed to implement thousands of weapon into the game. Dead enemies drop weapons, dead creature drop weapons and there are even crates of weapons stashed all over Pandora for you to raid. Now with such a high number of weapons, you can't expect each one of them to be drastically different from the other. Some are colored differently, some are fused with different elemental magic and so on. In addition to this you can even purchase weapons from vending machines scattered all over the planet.

In Borderlands, beside weapons you will come across ammo, shields, and lots more all over the place. There were times when I actually deviated from an intense fight to loot a nearby chest or grab that shiny new weapon irking my teammate.
Game play in Borderlands ins your staple RPG fare, You'll stat off by selecting your class from soldier, Hunter, Siren and Berserker, Initially, all classes seem similar but it's only once that you hit level 5 do you unlock their skills given each one of them their own distinct style of playing. The Soldier while essentially a force to reckon with can also branch out to improve his healing skills while the Siren (or the Assassin). can use her magic to not only cause more damage but protect her teammates as well.
Quests in Borderlands are hunted over to you by various NPC's via a text heavy menu. Soon you'll decent into the predictable yet enjoyable RPG grind of accepting newer quests, leveling up and moving on to explore new areas. Ever so often you'll also come across a boss/mini boss how may or may not dropped some totally rad loot.
Overall till now most of the things in Borderlands looks pretty playable but theory is not the only why , the experience of practical could be extremely different playing could be more just CLICK TO DOWNLOAD
