One way of defeating the opponents is knowing the character's combo, If your challenger is an expert you should learn the commands on how to counter his or her attacks this usually is a combination of buttons sometimes you just need to press the back whichever side you are.
If your new to Tekken then you might be wondering where to get those combos well luckily the developers included the list of each characters combos on via options menu all you need to do is press START then go to command list and their you will see it.
